Lollyo - Personal Cloud - Showcase Project

Lollyo is cloud storage, with a twist. Unlike the wide variety of competitors out there, you don't need to upload your files to a cloud server in order for them to sync and be available from your other devices. You get to keep all your data on your own PC and being your storage, it is virtually unlimited or better said as large as you wish! How is Lollyo different from many home NAS devices that allow internet connectivity? Lollyo is not a hardware, but a service. We offer the user a storage app to install it where he wishes. For now, only on a computer running Windows, but we're also working on Linux and OSX versions. The user then installs the sync apps on his devices or he can access the storage via web on app.lollyo.com Lollyo does not depend on some fixed IP address (some NASes depend on this because the sync apps connect directly to the hardware). Lollyo just works, same as Dropbox, no matter where you are. The user does not pay for the software. He does not pay for the hardware as well, as he does with other NASes. This is because Lollyo works with existing hardware. The payment does not scale with the size of the storage. So, the user installs this on his computer. From that moment, the free space he has on his computer can become cloud space. The more free space he has, the better. If he doesn't have enough, well, he has the liberty to get a bigger one or have the storage on USB drive or external hdd. For example, right now I have a 4TB hdd with about 2TB free. My cloud account is 2TB. How cool is that?
