About Fangorn DC
Data-centre site screening, evidence review and decision exports. Windows RC.
I am inviting offers for Fangorn DC, a Windows desktop software asset for structured data-centre location screening. The current packaged version is 1.0.0-rc.1. It is a release candidate, with practical acceptance work remaining. There is no revenue and there have been no external users. The workflow takes a project from a defined brief and candidate locations through collected context, reviewed evidence, development gates, comparison, diligence actions and a reproducible decision package. Fourteen workstreams cover power, connectivity, climate, water, ground conditions, hazards, land, planning, logistics, workforce, community, strategy, commercial considerations and delivery. Candidate comparisons retain explicit unknowns and reasons for withheld scores. Diligence actions can have an owner, date, status and completion note; completing a task does not itself pass a development gate. Local project history, backup and restoration support continued review. Exports include HTML reports, structured CSV/JSON, scenario workbooks and selected-candidate decision packages with integrity records. Optional public-source adapters and WGS84 GeoJSON/ArcGIS imports retain source dates, provenance, query scope and available, partial, failed or older retained states. Worldwide workflow coverage does not mean complete automatic worldwide data coverage. Public-source availability and permissions require checking for the intended use. Boundary and query-footprint tools are approximate screening aids, not surveys or proof of utility capacity, land rights, planning permission or site suitability. The portable runtime uses Windows 10/11, .NET Framework 4.8 and Microsoft Edge or Chrome. Its core workflow is local and does not require an AI key or cloud project account. Development uses React/TypeScript, Node and a local C# launcher. Existing release records document automated regression, packaged browser/native checks and archive integrity. They are not a substitute for practical acceptance. Remaining work includes production-profile upgrade/restore, interactive launcher and tray behaviour, and a fresh-source pilot using an authoritative real boundary. No current provider-availability, security-certification or final-1.0 claim is made. Proposed acquisition scope I am open to an upfront purchase of seller-owned application code, design, documentation and build/handover materials, with a bounded handover to be agreed. Price is undisclosed; offers are invited. This listing creates no transaction, assignment, exclusivity or source-access right. The final asset list, price, support, private evaluation and transfer terms must be agreed in writing. Third-party software, public data and map services retain their own licences, attribution and redistribution restrictions. No exclusive ownership of those materials is offered. Domains, personal accounts, credentials, browser profiles, real study locations/datasets, backups, private contacts and existing correspondence are excluded unless separately and explicitly agreed where transferable. No source, executables or private packages are uploaded publicly. The image is a release-workflow and acceptance overview, not an application screenshot or evidence of site suitability.
For sale
What's included
Source code
Proposed seller-owned application code, design/documentation and build/handover materials only to the extent of transferable rights, with bounded handover to be agreed. Third-party software, source data and maps retain their own terms. Final asset list, price, any exclusivity, private evaluation and transfer require written agreement. The source-code checkbox identifies a proposed acquisition asset; it grants no public access or automatic assignment. Real study data, profiles, backups, accounts, credentials, domains, private contacts and correspondence are excluded.
Reason for selling
I am seeking a buyer to take the software asset forward under an agreed purchase and bounded handover.
