About LazeAway — GRBL Diode-Laser Engraving Controller
Desktop control software for GRBL diode laser engravers, with Texas designs.
LazeAway is desktop control software for GRBL diode laser engravers — built for the Artilume S1 and compatible with the machines most makers already own. Electron + React + TypeScript. You design on screen, load the material preset, frame the burn, and stream the job with hardware-safe flow control. Shipped features (verified in code): 24 Texas-themed design templates and an artwork library, including colorless outline templates (Bluebonnet, Prickly Pear Cactus, Texas Outline + Star) 82 materials with power / speed / passes presets 12 machine profiles: Artilume S1 6W & 10W, Ortur Laser Master 3, Sculpfun S9/S10, xTool D1/D1 Pro, Atomstack, TwoTrees, generic GRBL x3, K40 CO2 Text engraving, auto-configure, frame-laser preview Jog controls, G-code console, G-code preview, webcam support Photo import with outline toggle and colorless bed preview RX-safe GRBL streaming: 15 lines / 90 bytes in flight so jobs never overrun the controller buffer Real hardware e-stop: feed hold → spindle off (M5) → board reset → forced re-unlock What's included: complete source code (v1.0.0) with build tooling. Build verified: install completes, production build is clean, typecheck passes with 0 errors. One-time ownership transfer of the code — no licenses to manage, no royalties. 30 days of email handover support from the builder. Reason for selling: the builder runs a music label and other software ventures and is focusing there; LazeAway was built for his own engraving work and never commercially launched. Financials (honest): $0 revenue. Never launched commercially. No customers, traffic, or income are claimed. Disclosures — please read: No physical laser was fired during evaluation — all GRBL streaming, e-stop, and machine-profile behavior is verified by code review and automated checks, not by a live burn. The Windows installer was never built; build scripts come with the source and producing a signed installer is on the buyer. npm run lint is broken (the oxlint linter is not declared in devDependencies). Typecheck and build are unaffected. There is no simulator/demo mode — controlling a laser requires a physical GRBL board connected by USB. v1.0.0. No auto-updater is built in. It runs one machine at a time over a single USB connection (machine profiles let you switch between machines). Multi-machine simultaneous control is not built in. Not affiliated with Artilume or ACMER; machine names are used to describe compatibility only. Engraving hardware is not included — this is software source code only.
