About StatementSheet
Bank statement PDF to Excel, with every row balance-checked
What it is A web app that turns a bank statement PDF into a clean Excel or CSV file. Unlike most converters, it recomputes the running balance on every row and flags the rows where the printed balance does not match. A bookkeeper checks three flagged rows instead of re-reading four hundred. Handles US and European statement layouts, scanned or digital. Nothing is stored: the PDF is processed in memory and released when the request ends, which is the product's main marketing angle. What is built and working • Next.js 15 (App Router, TypeScript), Postgres via Drizzle, Clerk auth, Polar billing (monthly and yearly plans, refunds inside a week), Vercel hosting. • Parsing on Gemini through the Vercel AI SDK; balance reconciliation is deterministic code, not the model. • Exports: Excel, CSV, a QuickBooks-ready CSV, JSON. • Pricing: three free pages without an account, then Starter $15 / 400 pages, Pro $29 / 1,200, Business $59 / 4,000 per month. • Dashboard for bookkeepers: per-client labels, a review queue for flagged rows, warning when a statement's period overlaps one already converted, correct a flagged row in place. • 91 bank landing pages (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc.), 6 guides, a comparison page against 8 competitors, privacy and security pages. Sitemap, robots, OG images, PageSpeed 90+ on mobile. • 43 test files (Vitest) plus an end-to-end production check script. Demo videos and screenshots, launch kits for HN, Reddit, Product Hunt. • Analytics: PostHog session replay for ad traffic, X pixel with conversion events, a funnel script that reports previews, signups and paid users by channel. Honest numbers • Built August–September 2026, 108 commits. • External revenue: $0. One outside signup, no paying customers besides my own test subscription. • Organic search: pages indexed two weeks ago, no meaningful traffic yet. • Paid test on X: $40 for 80 clicks; visitors ran the sample but nobody had a statement on their phone. That test and the analysis of it are included. • Running cost at this traffic: close to zero (free tiers), model cost only per conversion. What you get • Full source (GitHub transfer), domain statementsheet.org, Vercel project, Clerk app, PostHog project. The database schema ships as Drizzle migrations: point it at your own Postgres and it builds in a minute. Payments move to your own Polar account, set up by the included script. • Docs written for a buyer: market map of customers, competitors and communities; money and pricing analysis; work graphs; handover checklist. • All marketing assets: demo videos, GIFs, screenshots, ad copy with checker verdicts. • 30 days of email support for the handover. Why I am selling I need cash this month, and the product needs someone who will sell to bookkeepers for months. I would rather hand it to that person than let it sit. Transfer Payment through Escrow.com; domain pushed within the registrar, code and services transferred the same day.
