About Recall Radar
Product recall checker + Pro alert console built on free government APIs
A free recall checker plus a licence-gated Pro console with a live world alert map, product register, barcode cart scanner and compliance records. It runs on free government APIs, plus one small Cloudflare Worker (included) for Stripe checkout, licence keys and an openFDA key proxy. WHAT YOU GET Marketing site with pricing, a free recall checker and the Pro console Data sources: US CPSC, NHTSA, FDA (food, drugs, devices), EU Safety Gate/RAPEX (32K alerts, all with photos) and UK OPSS. All are keyless and CORS-enabled Radar map of live alerts, a product register with evidence, and a camera barcode scanner that flags items red or green Three plans ($5 / $99 / $399), each with its own Stripe price. Stripe Checkout, server-side licence keys and the openFDA proxy run in one dependency-free Cloudflare Worker, covered by 24 Worker tests and 8 plan-limit tests using mocks Business plan: competitive research, positioning, roadmap and risks TECH Static HTML/JS front end with no build step, deployable to any static host, plus one Cloudflare Worker and a KV namespace (the free tier is enough). You supply your own Stripe and openFDA keys as Worker secrets. WHY IT IS WORTH BUYING Amazon FBA sellers, importers, daycare operators and parents all need recall monitoring. Incumbents charge $50-500/mo and require accounts. This costs $0 to run and was verified against 411 live recall events. TO LAUNCH Put it on an https domain (the camera scanner needs a secure context), then follow the README's 20-minute payments setup and run one Stripe test-mode purchase. TRANSFER Full source as a zip, plus a GitHub repo transfer on request 30 minutes of email handover; handover guide included 46-second video walkthrough available on request No domain, accounts or revenue history included HONEST DISCLOSURES This codebase was previously published as a public GitHub repository under the MIT licence (github.com/suncal/recall-radar, Oct 2026). Copies made then remain MIT-licensed, so exclusivity over that version cannot be guaranteed. Licensing and checkout are server-side (included Cloudflare Worker) but were only unit-tested with mocks, not run against live Stripe. The console UI is static, the public feeds other than openFDA are not gated, and ?demo=1 stays open. Per-plan limits (Household 50 items, Operator 500, Multi-site unlimited) are enforced client-side only, so a technical user could bypass them. The Multi-site team action log, API feed and webhook shown on the pricing page are not built. Data comes live from free public APIs (openFDA, CPSC, NHTSA, EU Safety Gate via opendatasoft, Open Food Facts) with no SLA. openFDA allows about 1,000 requests/day per IP without a key. USDA meat and poultry recalls are not included. No users, subscribers or revenue. The name 'Recall Radar' has not been trademark-cleared. The live demo runs on the seller's GitHub Pages and is not part of the sale unless agreed.
