Uthentic is a production-ready AI photo forensics platform built to determine whether an image is authentic, AI-generated or manipulated — and, crucially, explain why.Modern synthetic images are becoming increasingly difficult to detect. In many cases, traditional AI detectors rely heavily on digital traces left by the generation process, traces that can become less useful after an image is recompressed, screenshotted, scanned, edited or photographed again. Uthentic was created to go beyond that approach.It does not analyse only the file. It analyses the image itself.Uthentic combines multiple independent analysis engines with a deeper forensic examination of the scene. It evaluates light direction, shadows, reflections, catchlights, perspective, depth, material behaviour, surface consistency, textures, optical coherence, sensor characteristics and physical anomalies that may reveal artificial generation or manipulation. At the same time, it analyses EXIF data, metadata and the technical structure of the file, combining all of these findings into a single assessment.This is what separates Uthentic from conventional AI detectors that return little more than a percentage. Uthentic does not simply say that an image is likely to be real, generated or altered. It explains the reasoning behind the verdict.Every analysis produces a structured forensic assessment including authenticity probability, detected anomalies, suspicious regions, metadata findings, visual inconsistencies and the technical reasoning behind the conclusion.Uthentic also generates a professional downloadable forensic PDF report containing the complete analysis, image specifications, technical findings, metadata, detected inconsistencies, highlighted areas and a detailed explanation of the final assessment. The report is designed to be usable in professional forensic workflows, investigations, case documentation, editorial verification, insurance assessments, compliance reviews and legal or evidentiary contexts.The platform is already fully operational on the web and includes a dedicated iPhone and iPad application currently under review by Apple for publication on the App Store.
