You'd enjoy some company, but you don't know who nearby might feel the same way. That's the idea behind Around ♡. Around is a location-focused social discovery app concept designed to help people discover others nearby who are open to spontaneous, real-life connections. Instead of endless swiping, long conversations, and complicated plans, Around focuses on a simple question: "Who's around me right now and open to connecting?" The Concept Around aims to make everyday social interactions easier and more natural. Whether someone wants company for coffee, a spontaneous conversation, a walk, grocery shopping, or simply exploring somewhere new, Around is designed to help them discover people with similar intentions. The platform is intended for friendship, dating, and casual social companionship. What Makes Around Different? Spontaneous connections: Meet people when you're actually interested in connecting. Nearby discovery: Find others in your vicinity who are open to meeting. Everyday experiences: Connections can begin at a café, grocery store, park, bookstore, or almost anywhere. Beyond dating: Designed for friendships and meaningful social connections as well as romantic possibilities. Current Development Stage Around has a working interactive Android prototype built with React Native and Expo. The prototype demonstrates profile creation, photo selection, personal interests, friendship/dating preferences, activity discovery, and simulated invitations. Current limitations: Live location-based matching, real user accounts, cross-user messaging, and production infrastructure have not yet been implemented. Commercial Opportunity Around is an early-stage consumer social technology concept with potential applications in social discovery, dating, local communities, travel, and lifestyle experiences. The project is seeking a commercial development or licensing partner interested in taking the concept toward a market-ready product. Proposed licensing price: $10,000 (negotiable). Licensing opportunity — not an outright sale. Around ♡ is available for commercial licensing. The proposed arrangement includes agreed rights to use the Around concept, branding, design assets, and prototype demonstration materials. Reason for selling
I developed Around ♡ to address a simple gap in social discovery: helping people connect spontaneously with others nearby in everyday situations. The project has reached the interactive prototype stage, and I am seeking a commercial partner with the resources and expertise to develop, launch, and scale the concept.
