Action Hound - Sell Project

Action Hound is a mobile (Android and iOS supported) app that allows players to connect with other local players in the location of their choosing. Simply select the game(s) you are interested in playing (i.e., pool, darts, golf, ping pong) and view a map of other players in your area looking for the same. Then, simply tap on the player(s) you want to challenge, select a venue, place your bets, and wait for the other player to accept the challenge. The apps include in-app chat between player-to-player as well as group chat for venues. All chats support real-time PUSH notifications to players that have selected to accept notifications. Other app features include: Player profile pictures Maps for viewing nearby players Changeable radius values for locating players via the map Address search for venues Betting (only used for submitting challenges, but can be updated to support in-app payments by the new owner) Player reviews Player ratings (i.e., 5-star rating system) Player search by name and/or location Challenge statuses (i.e., pending, complete, in-progress, lost, won, etc...) Flagging venues as "Favorite" for quick access In-app messaging The app is supported by a PHP and MySQL backend which will need to be hosted by the new owner. The web app includes: Admin dashboard and control panel Dashboard showing the number of new player registrations per day Dashboard showing the number of total, pending, accepted, declined, canceld, and completed challenges per day Leaderboard showing the number of challenges by others, accepted from others, challenges to others, wins, losses, etc... App stats for viewing how many times each feature in the app gets used (such as how many challenges or chat messages get sent, how many times the map is used, etc.... Great for troubleshooting any problems if any) User/player panel for searching, editing, and deleting users, viewing their profile, challenges, etc... Venue panel for creating, editing, and deleting venues (aka, places where players will meet for their challenge, such as a local billiards club) Player map for viewing where all your players are located geographically. Great for knowing where to host tournaments for marketing and other events. I can provide screenshots and even a walk-thru demo of the admin control panel for seriously interested parties upon request. Full disclosure: The apps were once published and available from the app stores. We had 1200+ players using the app with about 30-50 active daily users. Unfortunately, due to the work of a disgruntled systems admin, our backend server was shutdown and the apps had to be removed from the app stores.   How does this make money? With very little work, the new owner can quickly and easily rebuild a good user base where they can profit from multiple revenue streams (which are currently not built into the apps but could easily be added by the new owner). Those revenue streams include: In-app advertisements via AdMob, banners, interstitials, and/or other methods. In-app advertising by venues: Venues can pay the owner directly for the right to advertise directly to users that visit those venues (identified by GPS coordinates), flag them as "Favorite" in the app, and/or utilize the group chat feature that's already built into the app for venues. In-app payment processing: Apple Pay, PayPal, Bitcoin, and/or other payment methods can be built into the app that allow players to pay other players upon losing challenges. The new owner of the app could withhold a percentage of each of those transactions. As a side-bar, my new partners and I have teased the idea of developing our own cryptocurrency to be used primarily within the Action Hound app. Although the users no longer have the apps installed, the new owner will still get access to the original 1200+ users that were recorded in the last surviving backup before the server was shutdown. Another great way to make money is to host tournaments (such as a pool tournament) where you can A) advertise the app and B) make money from entry fees. You will need to negotiate the terms with the venue where you decide to host the tournaments. You can also easily add support for additional games in the app such as poker which is also great for hosting tournaments around.   What's included in the purchase? The new owner will receive the source code for both the Android and iOS mobile apps as well as the source code for the backend supporting web app and home page. The purchase also includes the last SQL dump to help them get started. I will also transfer the domain name to the new owner as well. I can also provide support to the new owner to help get the backend web app running and the mobile apps connected to the backend. I can also assist with getting the developer certificates created and installed on the server for supporting PUSH notifications when players send in-app messages and/or issue challenges to other players.   Why are you selling this? I have thought about republishing the apps to the app stores as well as implementing the features mentioned above (such as in-app payments), but don't really have the time to handle those implementations or the required marketing at this time.
