Overview Needle is a beautifully minimalist, production-ready anonymous social network. It uses a highly addictive "vertical swipe" mechanic (similar to TikTok or Tinder) for user-generated text notes. Notes are ephemeral—once swiped, they disappear from the user's feed forever. Why I built it: I originally started this project as a technical challenge to build a highly scalable, serverless architecture capable of handling complex HackerNews-style gravity algorithms and instant automated moderation. I am a cybersecurity and B2B SaaS developer, so consumer marketing is not my focus. I am selling it as a turnkey asset for a marketer to grow. Monetization (Fully Coded & Ready) The app has 3 built-in revenue streams: • Google AdMob: Native ads seamlessly integrated into the swipe deck, plus Interstitial ads. • In-App Purchases: Users can upgrade via Google Play Billing for "Lifetime Premium (2.99)or an"Ad−FreeSubscription"(1.49/mo). • Consumables: Users can buy "Megaphones" ($1.49) to algorithmically boost their note to 1,000 priority views.
