SEO Warp was developed in PHP without using any framework. Unlike other SEO report generators, it will scan a website using either sockets or cURL requests, depending on how many files are being downloaded at a time. File meta data is cached on the server to reduce the bandwidth used for subsequent requests. It will also scan not only the HTML files, but also any CSS and JavaScript code to try to find any other pages or resources that would be loaded by a browser or search engine. It also obeys robots.txt, so pages won't be crawled if a webmaster does not want them to be, just like how any major search engine behaves. There are three scanning modes that SEO Warp employs: Single Page, Quick Scan, and Full Scan, which do the following: Single Page will download one file or page and perform a basic analysis on it, checking everything from its file size to caching and compression status. This will also include the HTTP requests and responses to see exactly how a page is being delivered. Quick Scan will download several pages of a site and perform single page analyses on each. It will also check for redirects and make sure that there are no internal 404s or other common errors. This will also populate data for any Single Page scan and see what internal links are pointing to that page. Full Scan is identical to Quick Scan, but performs an additional analysis of the contents of each page. Using a custom algorithm, this test will match contents against one another and will return a ranking of pages with the most and least similar pairs. The results of this test can help webmasters to see where their most original content is and to decide on whether or not there are redundant pages on the site that are sapping link juice. SEO Warp also hosts an HTTP Viewer tool that lets anyone see how a remote server handles requests and responses.
