Ano Zero — Living Knowledge Library - Sell Project

Ano Zero is a working digital knowledge archive built to preserve and make useful books and references discoverable. Its long-term goal is one million catalogued works. Today, the live project contains 21,742 catalogue records and 1,172 confirmed local PDF files, representing approximately 12.58 GiB, plus a separate historical Bible reader stored in 118 local parts. One million is the goal, not the current collection size. WHAT WORKS TODAY Search by title, author, subject or language; individual book records with source links; a shelf of real digitised covers tied to catalogue records; a preserved import engine; and a local-PDF inventory with a downloadable JSON manifest. The shelf refreshes against new records without replacing covers with generic artwork. A browser PDF reader provides page navigation for confirmed local files. The interface uses restrained typography and image-led presentation. Dedicated Bible, Torah and Quran collections identify their traditions, reading sources and available translations. They combine a local historical Almeida Bible reader with clearly attributed external resources including Sefaria, eBible and QuranEnc. No single belief is presented as the archive's authority. A public East Hampton Library webcam adds a real-world window from the library onto Main Street; the live embed is labelled unavailable when playback fails, with no substitute footage. WHY THIS PROJECT IS DIFFERENT Ano Zero brings bibliographic discovery, practical preservation and cultural context together. Its scope spans history, science, technology, culture, religion and philosophy. The existing catalogue and import code provide a foundation for a focused educational library, heritage collection or specialist research portal. Real screenshots show the functioning site, searches, sources and readers. GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES A new owner could improve metadata quality, expand licensed full-text coverage, add further languages and curated collections, build institutional partnerships, or test sponsorship and premium research features. These are development opportunities, not existing revenue streams or promised outcomes. The one-million-work target offers a clear editorial direction. WHAT THE BUYER RECEIVES The Ano Zero application source, its existing import-engine code, project-specific database export, original interface assets, documentation, the verified offline inventory, and nine real screenshots. Transferable project metadata and locally held files are included only to the extent their source licences permit redistribution. Third-party texts, cover photographs, translations and video remain subject to their own licences and providers; no exclusive copyright over them is offered. SALE SCOPE AND CURRENT STATUS This is a software and project-assets acquisition offered at US$3,500, negotiable. Revenue and traffic have not been independently verified and are not used to justify the asking price. Catalogue records are not equivalent to locally stored full-text books. Some older offline-labelled records no longer have a confirmed local file; the new inventory reports confirmed files separately. The current file check verifies presence and PDF format, not every page or redistribution licence. The live demo currently runs in a subdirectory of a shared portfolio website. The parent domain butantadigital.com, B27, other portfolio projects, the hosting account, private credentials and unrelated accounts are excluded. The buyer supplies their own domain and hosting; a migration guide and project-specific configuration notes are included. External services and the webcam depend on their providers. No ongoing revenue, daily import volume or unlimited support is guaranteed.
