I’m an Australian carpenter and construction professional with 36 years of hands-on industry experience. Over the past year I’ve been developing **iQuote**, a construction software platform built from something I’ve seen repeatedly throughout my career: homeowners often struggle to understand what a building project is likely to involve and cost, while builders spend enormous amounts of unpaid time preparing quotes that may never turn into work. The first tier of iQuote is already built and publicly available. It allows homeowners to work through their project, provide the relevant information and receive an early estimate to help them understand the likely scope and cost before moving further into the building process. The basic homeowner experience is free. The aim is simple: give people useful information earlier, reduce wasted time on both sides, and create a clearer path between homeowners and builders. The platform has been designed around real residential construction experience rather than simply being a software idea. A further tier is being developed to expand the journey from early estimating into more detailed quoting and the wider construction process. I’m now looking for the right buyer, investor or strategic technology partner who can see the potential in what has already been built and has the resources and expertise to take iQuote much further. I’m open to discussing an acquisition, investment, licensing arrangement or strategic partnership with the right party.
