Privacy-first file metadata analysis, comparison, cleanup and reporting.
MetaLens Studio — Privacy-First File Intelligence Platform MetaLens Studio is a modern, privacy-first file metadata analysis application designed to help users inspect, understand, compare, and clean hidden metadata in digital files without uploading their documents to an external processing server. Built with a premium, responsive SaaS-style interface, the platform makes complex metadata accessible to photographers, content creators, developers, digital agencies, privacy-conscious professionals, and businesses. The Problem Digital files frequently contain hidden information such as GPS coordinates, device details, timestamps, author information, software identifiers, and other technical metadata. Many users unknowingly share this information, while existing tools can be complicated, fragmented, or require external file uploads. The Solution MetaLens Studio provides an integrated browser-based environment for inspecting metadata, identifying potential privacy exposure, comparing file information, and exporting structured analysis reports. Key Implemented Features Local Metadata Inspection: Analyze supported files directly in the browser, including image metadata, selected PDF properties, and supported audio metadata fields. Privacy Exposure Analysis: Identify potentially sensitive metadata and provide understandable explanations of privacy risks. Metadata Cleanup: Create separate cleaned copies of supported JPEG and PNG files, with post-processing verification. File Comparison: Compare two analyzed files to identify matching, modified, added, and removed metadata fields. Batch Analysis: Inspect multiple files and review results through a session-based processing dashboard. Metadata Editing: Modify metadata records through an editable sidecar interface without altering the original file. Structured Reporting: Export inspection and comparison results in JSON and CSV formats. File Integrity Verification: Calculate SHA-256 checksums directly from file contents. Modern User Experience: Responsive dashboard, dark/light themes, searchable metadata, filtering, keyboard navigation, and customizable preferences. Technology Stack MetaLens Studio is built using React 19, TypeScript, Next.js-compatible Vinext/Vite tooling, Tailwind CSS, and a Cloudflare Worker-compatible deployment architecture. The project includes automated unit tests, browser-interaction test evidence, technical documentation, and a structured buyer handover package. Business Model & Monetization Potential The product is currently positioned as a pre-revenue software asset, with a proposed freemium subscription model: Free: Browser-local file inspection and reporting. Professional — $18/month (proposed): Advanced processing, privacy workflows, and expanded reporting. Business — $59/month (proposed): Team capabilities, larger processing allowances, and developer API access. Paid billing, production API services, persistent cloud workspaces, and related subscription infrastructure have not yet been implemented. Growth Opportunities MetaLens Studio offers potential opportunities for SaaS monetization, developer API subscriptions, business-oriented batch processing, privacy automation, product integrations, and SEO-driven customer acquisition. Acquisition Opportunity This acquisition offers a buyer an established codebase, professionally designed product interface, implemented local-first metadata tools, automated test coverage, branding, and technical handover documentation. It is suitable for developers, indie hackers, or SaaS operators seeking a foundation for a commercial file intelligence and digital privacy product. Current Stage: Developed, pre-revenue, with working browser-based core functionality and additional commercial infrastructure available as a future development opportunity.

Reason for selling
I developed MetaLens Studio to create a modern, privacy-first solution for file metadata inspection and analysis. Having completed the core application and established its technical foundation, I am focusing my time and resources on other software projects rather than independently managing its commercialization and customer acquisition. I believe MetaLens Studio has opportunities for further development under an owner with the technical resources and go-to-market strategy to introduce subscriptions, expand the product, and build a customer base. The sale is an opportunity for another developer or SaaS entrepreneur to acquire and build upon the existing technology without starting from scratch.
