Lowbeam is a deployed, functional web app that compares driving routes by documented surveillance exposure, starting with ALPR (license-plate-reader) camera locations. It shows fastest vs. lower-documented-exposure route alternatives, with source-level data provenance on every record (source, verification date, confidence/freshness status). Status: functional prototype, automated tests and production build passing, smoke-tested live deployment. No paying users yet. Current dataset is a limited/uneven sample — no claim of national coverage, and the app never claims a route is "surveillance-free," only relatively lower documented exposure. What's included: full source repo, deployed app, documentation. What's not included: my personal GitHub/Vercel accounts and API keys — these get reissued/transferred to the buyer separately during handoff. Open to reasonable offers. Next step: Expand the documented ALPR dataset into additional jurisdictions, add automated data ingestion and refresh workflows, and integrate a routing engine such as OSRM or Valhalla for more advanced route generation. Other opportunities include additional documented surveillance modalities, improved coverage visualization, community correction/reporting tools, mobile/PWA development, and broader privacy-navigation features. The existing modular architecture provides a foundation for continued development.

Includes a custom route-exposure scoring engine, normalized surveillance registry, route comparison logic, provenance-aware data model, Google Maps/Directions/geocoding integration, map fallback, and automated Vitest coverage. Current MVP does not require a persistent production database. Architecture is modular and designed to support additional documented surveillance data sources and routing providers.
