Course platform for training providers. Built, never taken to market.
WHAT IT IS A complete platform for listing, selling and managing professional training courses: catalogue, course pages, enrolment and the seller side for whoever provides the training. Fully built, ready to go to market, never launched. HOW TO THINK ABOUT THIS — PLEASE READ I originally designed it as a two-sided marketplace, and I'll be straight with you: building a marketplace from zero is the hardest model there is, because you have to seed supply and demand at the same time and that takes capital. I'm not going to pretend otherwise, and I'm not selling you that. What this actually is, for the right buyer, is a finished course platform for someone who already has the supply side. If you're a training provider, a professional association, or an e-learning company that already has courses and instructors, the hard half of the problem is already solved on your end. You're buying a launch-ready platform instead of building one — not a marketplace you need to go and seed. WHAT IT WOULD COST YOU TO REBUILD Roughly 150 developer hours at €50/h — about €7,500 to build what's already here. Asking €1,800 — a 76% discount, because I'd rather it ships than sits. WHAT'S INCLUDED Full source code The menia.io domain and the brand Documentation and handover support CURRENT STATUS Never launched. No users, no revenue, no traffic. The build is done; the go-to-market never happened. WHY I'M SELLING I'm closing my product portfolio to focus on e-commerce consulting. I built this and never took it to market, and at this point the honest thing is to let someone who has the catalogue take it there. Also available: the complete portfolio (this plus three other projects) for €6,500.
Next step: <p>HOW A BUYER CAN TAKE THIS FORWARD</p><p><br></p><p>There is one path that works here, and it's worth being specific rather than listing five.</p><p><br></p><p>IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE COURSES, YOU HAVE A BUSINESS</p><p>Training providers, professional associations and e-learning companies already have the catalogue, the instructors and the students. For you this isn't a marketplace to seed — it's your own platform, finished, at a fraction of what building it costs. You launch with supply on day one, which is the half that kills everyone else.</p><p><br></p><p>WHAT YOU CAN ADD LATER</p><p>Once your own catalogue runs on it, opening the platform to outside instructors becomes a second phase with far less risk: you already have the demand side, so bringing in supply is the easy direction to grow in. That's the sequence that works — supply first, then marketplace. Not the other way round.</p><p><br></p><p>If you're planning to start a two-sided marketplace from zero, I'd rather you didn't buy it from me. That model needs capital to subsidise both sides until liquidity kicks in, and no amount of finished code substitutes for that.</p>
