iPhone antique appraisal app source with AI integration and saved collections
Antique Buddy is an iPhone app source project for antique discovery and collecting, with a distinctive parchment, brass and serif interface. Its main workflow combines an item's photos and description with an AI appraisal integration, then organizes saved results in a local Ledger and Cabinet. Asking price: $999.99 USD. Included are the Expo/React Native iOS source project, Bun/Hono backend, native Xcode workspace, assets, tests, configuration examples, verification evidence and buyer handover documentation. This is a developer working base awaiting service activation and launch acceptance, with no proven revenue or live appraisal-service claim. ITEM INPUT AND PHOTO WORKFLOW Prepare an item with a written description and up to four photos in total. Camera and photo-library entry points let users provide different angles and identifying details, subject to device permissions. Guidance explains what to look for when describing an item. Photo-permission and selection errors are surfaced, and failed appraisal requests preserve input within the current screen session so it can be corrected or retried. Unsaved drafts are not persisted across app relaunch. AI IDENTIFICATION AND ESTIMATED VALUES The appraisal integration is designed to identify an item, present descriptive findings and qualified USD estimates, and display provider-cited reference sources. Results can be reopened from saved records. Unknown estimates remain unavailable rather than appearing as zero. Price claims without provider-cited sources are cleared. AI output cannot establish authenticity, provenance, condition, professional value or an actual sale price. New identification and valuations require the buyer to deploy the backend and configure an AI provider. There is no offline appraisal engine. The unconfigured app explains that activation is needed; it does not fabricate a successful appraisal. Any screenshots marked QA or Test fixture are sample records for demonstrating the interface, not live AI results or validated valuations. RESULT DETAILS AND FOLLOW-UP ACTIONS The result screen presents the item, photographs, descriptive findings, valuation information and applicable sources. Users can retain an item in Cabinet, access a share action, and open Update Analysis to provide additional context for re-analysis. Comparable-listing and detailed-report interfaces are included. Similar listings are reachable from results, and cited sources can be opened. Re-analysis clears stale reports and comparable information so old content is not presented as a fresh result. Re-analysis, comparable listings and detailed reports require configured services. Comparable search results are not independently verified sold-price records, and the app has no live marketplace account integration. A follow-up API is included in the source, but there is no dedicated chat screen. LOCAL LEDGER / HISTORY The History tab provides the local appraisal Ledger for reviewing saved records and reopening results. Saved history is not silently cut off at 50 entries. Repeated saves for the same request update a record instead of duplicating it. Record deletion and clearing actions require confirmation. Clearing the Ledger preserves items retained in Cabinet. SAVED CABINET AND COLLECTION TOTALS Keep selected records in a saved collection, reopen item details and remove records with confirmation. Collection subtotals distinguish unknown estimates from zero and state how many items have estimates. The Cabinet and Ledger consider each other's references when cleaning up photos, so clearing one collection does not remove media still needed by the other. The app is not a manual replacement inventory system; new appraisal records originate from the configured appraisal workflow. OWNED PHOTO STORAGE AND DATA RECOVERY Saved photos are copied into the app's document storage. Local writes complete before visible saved state changes or photo deletion. Stored records are validated, older compatible records are normalized, and native container-path changes are handled by migration. Corrupt or unsupported records expose recovery instead of being silently overwritten, and migration creates a backup before replacement. Missing old temporary photos cannot be recreated. Records and media were checked across simulator reinstalls in the recorded verification. HANDBOOK AND SETTINGS A bundled Handbook provides guidance on using the app, supplying useful item photos and descriptions, understanding uncertain valuations, and accessing comparable listings. Settings and informational content can be explored without paid services. The app includes consent for sending selected photos and context to the operator's backend and OpenAI, together with local record-management and subscription-related controls. Public operator privacy, support and commercial information must be finalized by the buyer. Next step:
Configure and deploy the backend over HTTPS with durable SQLite, monitoring and request limits; activate and test the AI provider and RevenueCat subscriptions; resolve documented dependency advisories; replace placeholder signing, support and legal details; and complete physical-device and App Store testing. Then validate demand with collectors, antique dealers and resellers. Potential extensions include cloud backup/sync, richer collection organization, export tools and focused collecting categories. These are development opportunities, not included features or promised revenue.
