Garden Buddy Pro is an iPhone gardening companion built around looking after your own plants: organizing your garden, recording watering, planning care tasks, keeping plant photos and notes, and checking the weather. YOUR GARDEN AND PLANT COLLECTION Keep your plants together in a personal garden with illustrated plant cards, names, species and upcoming soil-check information. Open a plant to see its care details, watering status, light requirements and care notes. The garden dashboard highlights plants due for a soil check. Switch between gardens, manage your garden collection and rename gardens. The current free-tier configuration supports one garden and up to three plants; expanded capacity is part of the Pro integration. PLANT RECORDS, PHOTOS AND CARE NOTES Each saved plant has its own detail page. Edit its display name, adjust its watering/soil-check interval from 1 to 365 days, and write or revise care notes. Add a personal photo through the device photo picker or replace an existing picture using Change photo. This photo-management workflow works independently of AI and does not identify the plant or assess its health. Remove a plant when it is no longer part of your collection. WATERING AND SOIL-CHECK TRACKING Log watering from a plant's care controls, keep a last-watered record, and see when its next soil check is due. The app updates the plant's schedule after watering is logged. Intervals are prompts to check moisture and adjust care for the plant, pot, soil, light and season; they are not automatic instructions to water. CARE TASKS AND TO-DO LISTS Create named tasks and optionally link them to a specific plant. Choose from Water, Prune, Fertilize, Repot, Harvest, Rotate, Inspect or a general Task. Set a due time using Today, Tomorrow, In 3 days or Next week. The Tasks tab separates To Do and Done, shows task counts, linked plants, upcoming dates and overdue items. Mark tasks complete, review completed tasks, reopen them or delete them. DALE GARDENING ASSISTANT The Dale tab provides a gardening chat interface, a message composer, conversation history and a remaining-message allowance display. The integration supports gardening questions using relevant plant context. Dale may suggest care actions that the user reviews and confirms before they change the garden. Users can clear chat history and control AI data sharing. The Add a plant screen also includes camera and photo-library entry points for AI-assisted plant identification and care suggestions. Identification results require user review before saving. These AI integrations require the buyer to connect and verify a live backend and AI service; the listing does not represent live AI responses as already activated or validated. AI advice and identification can be wrong and should not be used to establish whether a plant is edible or safe for pets. WEATHER AND GARDEN ADVISORIES The Weather tab includes current conditions, temperature, humidity, UV and wind information, a seven-day forecast, daily temperature ranges and precipitation. It also presents a gardening-oriented weather summary and soil-check guidance. Users can choose a city, change their garden location, optionally use location access, or remove the saved location. Pull to refresh updates the forecast. Settings include frost and heat advisories, with UV, storm and wind advisories included in the Pro integration. These are in-app gardening advisories, not emergency warnings. The preview build displayed a live forecast during the screenshot walkthrough; the buyer still needs to configure and verify commercial weather access and the final deployment. LOCAL REMINDERS Watering and task reminders can be enabled in Settings after notification permission is granted. The app schedules the next 60 local care reminders and refreshes them when it is opened. Reminder behavior needs final verification on physical iPhones before release. Weather advisories update while the app is in use. SUPPORTING PLANT LIBRARY The bundled library is a supporting tool for adding a known plant and referring to care information. It contains 20 illustrated guides that can be searched by plant or care needs and filtered across Indoor, Succulents, Herbs, Vegetables, Flowers, Trees and Tropical categories. Guides include species information, suggested soil-check intervals, light needs, difficulty, care notes, tags and pet-toxicity information where provided. A plant can be added directly to the garden from its guide. Library browsing works without AI or API keys; the illustrations are decorative and do not identify a real plant.
