About price-watch

Track competitor prices and get alerted the moment something changes.

GitHub Stats (at time of listing): 0 stars 0 forks 0 open issues Last commit: September 2, 2026 Price Watch is a self-hosted tool that monitors competitor product pages and alerts you when prices drop or items go out of stock. Add any product URL and it automatically detects price and stock status using the page's own structured data, with a manual selector fallback for trickier sites. It stores full price history, charts trends over time, flags changes as alerts, and generates a clean PDF report you can send to a client or keep for your own records. Built with Python, Streamlit, and SQLite. No monthly subscription, you own the code outright and run it wherever you like.

Next step: <p>Several directions from here: turn it into a hosted subscription SaaS instead of self-hosted, add email or Slack notifications for alerts instead of only the in-app dashboard, add Playwright support to handle JavaScript-heavy sites the current requests-based scraper can't reach, or build a niche version for a specific vertical like real estate listings or job postings using the same detection engine.</p>

All related design work, Source code

The README with setup instructions and the standalone scheduler script for automated checks, both already part of the source code handoff.

Reason for selling

Built this as a ready-to-use tool for e-commerce sellers and small agencies. I build and sell focused tools like this rather than running them myself long term.
