WHAT THIS ISA complete, production-ready website for a restaurant, bistro or brasserie: a daily specials board, a full menu with allergens, a photo gallery, a two-step reservation flow and an admin panel where the owner changes everything in a minute. It is not a template to fill in: it is a full web application, delivered as source code the buyer installs and runs.I built it as a product, not as client work. It has never been operated commercially.THE DAILY BOARD IS THE HEART OF ITThe dish of the day is the only reason a regular comes back to a restaurant website. It sits right below the hero and is updated in under a minute from the admin panel: dish, dessert, butcher's suggestion, message of the day.THE MENU IS HTML, NOT A PDFIt stays readable with a thumb on a phone, respects system font-size preferences, and Google can index it. Categories, prices, descriptions, allergens and badges, all editable from the admin panel.RESERVATIONS, HONESTLY DONEA small restaurant has no computerised table plan. The form sends a request and says so clearly, rather than faking real-time availability. Two steps: date, party size and time slot, then contact details. Slots are generated from the service hours you configure. The owner confirms, cancels or replies from the admin panel.THE ADMIN PANELDashboard, daily board, menu editor, reservations with confirm and cancel, photo upload with descriptions, opening hours and reservation slots, and an information banner for exceptional closures. One shared password, no user accounts to manage; the session is a signed cookie valid for 12 hours, one service day.NOTHING THIRD-PARTY LOADS UNLESS ASKEDNo Instagram widget, no Google Maps iframe on load, no tracker. The map loads only when the visitor clicks it. Better performance, and no consent banner needed for cookies that are never set.PERSONAL DATA, ACTUALLY HANDLEDThe privacy policy announces a 12-month retention for reservation requests and messages, and a script enforces it: dry run, purge beyond 12 months, and per-address erasure for a right-to-erasure request.TECHNext.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, PostgreSQL. Five production dependencies. The database is reached over HTTPS, so the site runs on any Node.js host and on serverless platforms alike.
