About RideAlong

A student ridesharing platform connecting drivers and riders traveling the

RideAlong is a developed student ridesharing platform designed to connect drivers with riders who are already traveling in the same direction. Unlike traditional rideshare services where drivers operate specifically to complete ride requests, RideAlong is built around shared trips. Drivers can post trips they are already planning to take, while riders can discover available rides that match where they need to go. The platform has been developed into a working product with dedicated experiences for riders and drivers, including account management, ride creation and discovery, trip management, driver applications and verification, payments, mapping/location functionality, and supporting backend infrastructure. RideAlong has been developed by a seven-person team over more than a year and has progressed through startup competitions, conferences, product testing, and multiple iterations based on what we learned while building the business. The sale provides an opportunity for a buyer to acquire an established ridesharing technology product and brand rather than starting from scratch. A buyer could continue operating RideAlong under the existing brand, expand into additional markets, or use the underlying technology as the foundation for another transportation or mobility business.

Next step: The biggest opportunity for a buyer is growth and market expansion. The core technology has already been developed, allowing a new owner to focus primarily on user acquisition, marketing, partnerships, and scaling operations rather than starting development from scratch.A buyer could launch targeted campaigns in college and university communities, where students frequently travel between campuses, nearby cities, airports, and their hometowns. Additional opportunities include partnerships with universities, student organizations, events, and local businesses.The platform could also be expanded beyond the initial market into additional cities and communities, while introducing new monetization opportunities such as transaction fees, premium features, partnerships, and other mobility-related services. With the right marketing and operational resources, RideAlong has the foundation to grow from an early-stage product into a much larger ridesharing marketplace.

The sale includes the complete RideAlong technology and brand assets, including the mobile application, website, source code repositories, backend infrastructure and configuration, domain, branding and design assets, social media accounts, business-related email accounts, documentation, and transferable project data. I am also willing to provide reasonable transition assistance to help the buyer understand the codebase, infrastructure, deployment process, and overall platform architecture. Third-party services and accounts will be transferred or migrated where permitted by the applicable provider.

Reason for selling

RideAlong has reached a stage where the core platform and infrastructure have been built, but taking it to the next level requires significantly more time dedicated to marketing, user acquisition, partnerships, and expansion. My other commitments no longer allow me to give the project the attention it deserves, so I would rather place it in the hands of a buyer with the resources and time to grow it.
