Betler - Sell Project

Betler is a peer to peer sports betting app for Android which is integrated with Coinbase, and a corresponding website which handles the description, initial downloads, and in-app updates.The site gives a good description: http://www.getbetler.comOn the backend, you set which sports to scrape scores for, which are loaded into Parse. The available leagues and games are automatically shown to the user in the app. When a game is chosen, the user can either make a new public bet by choosing the winner, dollar amount, and spread, or accept an existing public bet. All user bets can be shared through a unique link, which when clicked by another user, will either take them to the bet in app, or take them to the download page so they can download the app.All bets are made in bitcoin using the user's Coinbase account, so the dollar value of the bet may change over time (this is made clear). When the script runs after the game is completed, the correct user is paid through the Coinbase API, and you can configure either your cut (there are no transaction fees), whether to charge up-front instead, etc.Since the app is against the terms of the Play store, when the app is opened it automatically checks for a new version, prompts the user to update if it is available, and then opens the install screen when the download is complete, providing a seamless update experience. The database is entirely in Parse. Google Analytics is also integreated. The script and website are both in Python, and currently run on a DigitalOcean VPS.
