Detailed Description

SurfStraw was invented and commercialized as a passion project during the pandemic, and has grown to become a global outdoor sports brand.

SurfStraw started as the world's first water bottle dedicated for surfing wetsuits and has sold over 3,000 units to 14 different countries. In 2023, the SportStraw was launched to provide skiers, snowboarders, and outdoors-people hydration on their adventures.

Han Bae and Jesse Nebres were friends working as junior accountants at a CPA firm, and would spend their mornings in Los Angeles catching a few waves before carpooling downtown to clock into the office. They realized there could be a better to hydrate in the ocean without paddling back and forth to the beach to drink sips of water. This need inspired the SurfStraw, a 300ML or 500ML bottle with telescopic straw that zips into existing wetsuits, and can be seamlessly tucked away for convenient hydration. We're proud of the commercial success SurfStraw has proven, and are finally close to solidifying our patent.

In 2025, Jesse and Han's respective careers in Enterprise SaaS and Climate Tech have taken them in other directions. Add in developing personal and family obligations, Han and Jesse have made the bittersweet decision to consider passing SurfStraw along to the next entrepreneur who can take the next step. Thank you for considering learning more about Han and Jesse's life's' work!
