Reason for Selling
I'm simply busy, and am ready to pass the torch. The $1k price comes with strings attached: I'm still vested in seeing this business succeed. As such, I'm not interested in selling to someone that intends to simply buy and dissolve the business to obtain the assets and/or domain. I'm looking for a buyer interested in taking charge (i.e. maintaining corporate filings, paying expenses, and driving growth). I'm still interested in serving a supporting role in a more limited, negotiable capacity, so my ideal buyer would be more of a co-founder taking on the lead role; I don't require my involvement as condition of sale though if you prefer not to pursue that option. I want 1% of all future revenue issued in monthly installments, and read access to the company's payment system for verification. I reserve the right to keep a copy of the source code in a state up until the sale is made. If you make a change to the code after the sale, I don't claim rights to that revision or revisions thereafter. I will not disseminate the code on a public repo like Github, I simply want to be able to demonstrate the code I worked on to friends, potential employers, etc. If you want to negotiate an offer with some of these restrictions removed, please feel free to make an offer; I may still be open to considering it. Do so knowing though that the further the agreement strays from these conditions, the more significantly I will expect the offer price to increase. In either case, escrow will be required at buyer's expense.
