An app that allows users to save their life through a beautiful online journal and share these stories with the world, if they choose. History Daybook was born out of the desire to bridge the intimacy of a journal with the practicality of technology. All throughout history some of the world's greatest minds have all kept journals of their personal lives and of their work. In today's day and age, the same could be accomplished with paper and pen, a Facebook post, a Tweet, a picture. However, instead of creating an open platform for bloggers or social enthusiasts, Daybook was built with the idea of providing a foundation where people can write about their lives and save it for days to come. We built daybook because we believe that life is a journey worth saving. For an example of what a compiled journal looks like visit demo.daybook.io Monetization Currently the site has no monetization in place, but their are quite a few opportunities to be explored. These include: Pro features (analytics, comments) Business account (multi users) To the winning buyer I will explain a much more thorough plan that I had in mind. Technology The site is coded in clean Rails code, coupled with a beautiful interpretation of what angularjs should look like. It's hosted on the back of Digital Oocean, and was created for scale. It is worth mentioning that all the code and design is unique. The site currently supports 320 users (from zero marketing, only 3 users are close friends). Features: Elegant editor Private/Public posts Private/Public journals Like & share posts Custom domains Admin overview panel Included Assets Domain Twitter account Site and content (approx. 320 users) - (with zero marketing) Handover The site is hosted on Digital Ocean ($10/mo) and deployment using Cloud66.
