While the startup operations were locally bound, the technology behind it can be broadly used for any platform idea. As it is fully automated for multi-sided use, it is also highly customizable. We believe that the biggest value for buyers lays in the technology we developed as well as potentially in the marketing assets (280 sports pictures, 5 sports-marketing videos (5min total), Instagram account with 700 followers). In our current operations is is a sports marketplace that allows any sports provider to list their unused spots of existing classes on the platform. Customers can then book those spots and enjoy different sports, without having to commit to one provider or signing a long-term contract. The business model is a commission fee per booking, as well as a fixed listing fee for providers.CustomersWe had more than 150 different clients and more than 20 different sports providers during our active pilot testing in Innsbruck, Austria.FinancialsBreak-even after 5 months. Operationally in our pilot we could generate small profits, though through funding, prize allocations and subsidies we could reach break even and make profits that contributed to pay our studies. Additional NotesThe tech of the platform is up-to-date, due to other circumstances (MBA studies, family business and other ideas) my co-founder and I decided not to actively work on this company anymore, as we have also reached break-even in 2019. Currently there are some sports-classes up and running, even though with covid regulations this is constantly changing. However, we believe it would be a shame if the company and especially the platform we have built around it would not be used any further. We think that for any platform startup that is looking for adaptable tech, this would be the ideal starting point. Everything was developed based on our wishes and co-developed by ourselves, so it's code and not a template or so.
