Goalazo.com - Sell Project

Goalazo Passionate about Football? Passionate about making money? Excited about the coming World Cup 2014? Well, you now have the opportunity to own my 4.5 years old, PR3, unique and popular football site thats is 100% automated and easy to run. Some basic stats: http://www.realwebstats.com/www/goalazo.com Goalazo.com brings you the latest football goals and highlights from Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, MLS, Bundesliga and FIFA World Cup and all major tournaments around the world. We have been known to cover over 200 major tournaments around the world - tournaments as small as SAFF and as big as UEFA and FIFA World Cup. Its the most comprehensive video coverage of football games that you will find in the internet. The site was first launched in 2009 and had great success during the World Cup 2010, bringing in thousands of visitors each day. It made use of the Guardian API too and has been featured in many places across the internet: http://www.theguardian.com/open-platform/apps-goalazo http://www.killerstartups.com/social-networking/goalazo-com-a-community-site-for-soccer-lovers/ http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/cool-websites-tools-exotic-soundscapes-lasting-happiness-watch-soccer-goals/ http://www.programmableweb.com/mashup/goalazo/ http://best-blogs.soccer.tel/ Since then, I have done a couple of redesign of the site, and finally decided to focus only in videos last year - instead of news, forum and everything. Daily videos and highlights of hundreds of games are posted every hour and its all automated. The automation is done through some custom code we have written, which is very creative and sophisticated. Good thing we haven't had to change a single line of the code since we wrote it 4 years ago. The kind of videos it pulls is truly amazing and with some marketing, this could be a much bigger success. Domain Goalazo.com is great domain name for a football site. Golazo in spanish means an amazing goal. Monetization I do not have an adsense account and I have never really tried to monetize the site. I have had offers in the past to buy this site, but never felt the desire to sell it. I have sold a few links to sites in the gambling and sports niche and it brings me from $200 to $500/month depending on the month and season. Quick wins for revenue for the new buyer include: 1. Adsense 2. Selling more Banner Ads and Links 3. Sell Affiliate products 4. Sell WorldCup tickets, sports products etc 5. Sell access to the the video feed 6. Build dedicated regional and league sites. Technology The site is using Wordpress with themes and plugins. The videos are collected using my custom code, which is the secret sauce. All the content us truly unique although the matches and videos are collected algorithmically from many places. Hosting Since the frontend is Wordpress, this could be hosted on any cheap shared hosting or a VPS. I am hosting on on a VPS. Traffic Traffic ranges from 250/day to a few thousands on occasions. Every day there are fresh match videos posted, but I have never taken the time to share the links in related forums for teams and countries. That could easily multiply the traffic. All traffic is mostly from organic google search and social media. We have never done any paid advertising. Every once in a while, one of the match videos gets picked up by a major forum or news site and we get huge spikes of traffic. But I don't have the skills or the drive to get that coverage on a regular basis. Social Media It has also got a Twitter account with decent following. It has currently over 8000 followers. It also has a Facebook fan page. Why I am selling: Football was a huge hobby of mine and I have created and ran this site for many years just as a hobby project.I have owned the site at least for 4.5 years now, and has been my go to site for any football updates. But because of other commitments in life, I can no longer promote the site anymore (even though I could just let it run as it is) and with the WorldCup 2014 coming soon, somebody with the business skills could take the site to a higher level. PM me if you have any questions.
