Event Booking Pro was initially much simpler software and offered for sale on a well known software marketplace where it had about 50 sales in the first month. On the front end it uses Javascript (with jQuery and Knockout.js) and on the database site it's all MySQL. For payments, both Stripe and Paypal are integrated.
