About GameLootSpot
Real-time price comparison platform for in-game gold and currency across 4 marke
ABOUT GAMELOOTSPOT GameLootSpot (gamelootspot.com) is a live price-intelligence platform for in-game currency. It scrapes FunPay, G2G, Eldorado and PlayerAuctions in near real time, normalizes every listing into one canonical price per 1k units, and shows buyers where gold is cheapest right now. Games covered: World of Warcraft (Classic Era, Season of Discovery, MoP Classic, Retail), Old School RuneScape, RuneScape 3, Path of Exile, Path of Exile 2. KEY FEATURES • Live price terminal per realm/league, refreshed every 40–300 seconds • 1-year price history at 1m / 5m / 1h / 1d resolution • Price alerts via Telegram bot, email and in-browser sound • Autopilot: trailing alerts across many realms, including a region-wide "cheapest realm" mode • Seller analytics: offers, sellers and volume per realm • Net price after marketplace fees and withdrawal costs • User accounts: Telegram, Google, email magic link, email + password • Pro subscription already integrated: Paddle (card) and NOWPayments (crypto), $5/month or $48/year • Server-side rendering and prerendered realm pages for SEO • Admin dashboard with offer quarantine and alias management TECH STACK • Backend: Python 3.13, FastAPI, asyncpg, PostgreSQL 16, Redis, Alembic (61 migrations) • Frontend: React 18, Vite, SSR + prerendering • Infra: Hetzner VPS with Coolify, Vercel, Cloudflare • Parsers: httpx, BeautifulSoup, curlcffi; process-sharded workers with circuit breakers • Tests: 504 backend tests (fully offline), vitest, GitHub Actions CI • Docs: 27 architecture documents + 178 resolved incidents with root cause and regression guard BUSINESS MODEL AND GROWTH The site attracts people who are about to buy in-game currency — high-intent traffic. Clearest paths to revenue: 1. Affiliate links to the marketplaces already compared (G2G, Eldorado and others run affiliate programs) 2. Pro subscriptions (billing is live, needs marketing) 3. Featured placements for gold sellers 4. More games: the parser and normalization layer is game-agnostic A good fit for a gold seller, a gaming marketplace, an affiliate marketer in the gaming niche, or a developer who wants a production-grade codebase. OPERATIONS About [X] hours per week: checking parser health and adding realm aliases when marketplaces rename listings. Health checks run automatically in CI. WHAT'S INCLUDED • Domain gamelootspot.com • Full source code and git history, with all rights to the code • PostgreSQL dump with the full price history • Telegram bot, deployment configs, documentation • 2 weeks of post-sale support for migration Not included: my personal Paddle / NOWPayments accounts (you connect your own) and my residential proxy (PlayerAuctions requires one; any residential proxy provider works). HONEST LIMITATIONS • Data comes from public marketplace pages. Marketplaces can change markup or block traffic; the parsers have circuit breakers and documented fixes, but expect occasional maintenance. • Code revisions published before 2026-09-17 were under the MIT license; later work is proprietary. RESERVE The reserve is $500. Bids at or above it will sell. REASON FOR SELLING I built this as a solo developer and don't have time for the marketing and partnerships it needs. The product side is done; it needs an owner who can monetize the traffic.
