About Varve
Free, local-first design software for creators
Varve is free, local-first design software for vector illustration, page layout, typography, motion and print production, all in one desktop app. Your files stay on your own computer: no subscription, no cloud account and no sign-in. Six task workspaces (Design, Print, Draw, Photo, Motion and Email) share one document, so a single file can go from sketch to print-ready PDF or social video. Varve is source-available under FSL-1.1-MIT. It runs on Linux, macOS and Windows, with an experimental browser build at varve.studio/try. Currently in public beta.
