About Webhookvault
Self-hosted webhook gateway: capture, verify, route and retry. Shopify-ready.
WebhookVault sits between webhook providers (Stripe, GitHub, Shopify, WooCommerce or any custom sender) and your own services. It stores every request, checks the signature, forwards it to the right destination and retries deliveries that fail. It runs on your own server with Docker, so payloads never go to a third party. What it does Captures webhooks with the full payload and headers (secrets redacted) Verifies signatures: Standard Webhooks, HMAC, and Shopify / WooCommerce HMAC Routing rules by source, event type (including the Shopify or WooCommerce topic) and payload fields, with payload transforms and a test button Store mode for Shopify and WooCommerce: answers the store right away, drops duplicate deliveries and retries each delivery for about 3 days, with Slack or Discord alerts A slow or broken destination only slows down its own deliveries (per-endpoint limits and a circuit breaker) Outgoing deliveries are signed (Standard Webhooks), so receivers can verify them Replay any event, retry failed ones one by one or in bulk 30-day analytics, audit log, JSON and CSV export, data retention setting Multi-tenant: every account gets its own organization. License engine and Stripe subscription billing are built in (Trial, Business, Enterprise, Lifetime) SSRF protection on every outgoing request Due diligence 551 automated tests, 94% coverage, run in GitHub Actions on SQLite and PostgreSQL Load test with before and after numbers (PERFORMANCEREPORT.md) Security review (SECURITYAUDIT.md): what was found, what was fixed and what is still open Docs: deployment guide, Shopify and WooCommerce guide, signature verification examples for Python and Node.js Not built yet, so you know up front Team members are a roster only; they don't get their own login yet No password reset or email verification Sessions can't be revoked from the server side Status Pre-revenue: no paying customers yet. Plans and limits are set up in the app (Trial 14 days / 1,000 events, Business 10,000 events), but haven't been tested with real customers. What you get Full source code (delivered as a zip after payment), all docs and reports, database migrations and the Docker setup. Payment via Payoneer. Demo Create a free trial account on the demo to try it. The demo runs on Render's free plan, which puts the server to sleep after about 15 minutes without visitors. If it's asleep, the first page can take up to a minute to load. After that it's fast. This only applies to the demo hosting: installed on your own server or a paid instance, WebhookVault stays on all the time.

Next step: <p>- Sell it to Shopify and WooCommerce agencies as a hosted service, one organization per client store. Plans, limits and Stripe billing are already built, so this needs Stripe keys and a domain, not new code.</p><p>- Offer self-hosted licenses to agencies that must keep store and payment data on their own servers. The license engine for this is already in place.</p><p>- Add ready-made destinations for tools stores already use (n8n, Make, Zapier, popular ERPs and accounting apps) so a store can connect without writing a receiver.</p><p>- Finish the three items listed as not built yet (team logins, password reset with email verification, server-side session revocation) to sell to larger teams.</p><p>- Write guides for searches agencies already make, such as missed Shopify webhooks, webhook retries and verifying Shopify HMAC. The product solves exactly these problems.</p>
