About MIDI Lab
Turn musical ideas into editable MIDI for your DAW or hardware synths
We're Stephan and Tim, the cofounders of MIDI Lab. We're producers, and we built it because most AI music tools hand you a finished audio file you can't change. That's not how producers work. MIDI Lab gives you the actual notes. Describe an idea in plain words, like a moody lofi chord progression or a rolling tech house bassline, and get playable MIDI back in seconds. Drag it into Ableton, FL Studio or Logic, or send it straight to a hardware synth from the browser. Then keep shaping it in the editor, by asking for changes in voice or text. What you get: text to MIDI for chords, melodies, basslines and drums; an editor you can talk to; MIDI import so you can rework your own parts; live jams with other producers; a library with layers, setlists and snapshots; MIDI packs, a community feed, XP and a leaderboard; and 15 languages. Think of it as a Suno or Udio alternative for people who want editable MIDI instead of a finished song. There's a free plan with credits to start, no card required.
