Jabberwocky
Revolutionary Hands-Free Web Browsing App
Jabberwocky is a revolutionary hands-free web browsing app for iOS that is controlled using only head movement and speech. The app translates head movement into a cursor used to click and scroll. The head tracking feature is available on any device that supports Face ID. Other key features include click assistance to make it easy to click on small web page elements, speech recognition to fill out text fields without typing, and keyboard predictions for common words and actions to save time while typing. The app also ensures privacy, with no browsing and typing history ever leaving the device.
THIS PROJECT IS BUILT USING

People with limited motor capability due to spinal cord injury, ALS, cerebral palsy, or motor disability may have difficulty with touch or typing interfaces. They require different technology to stay connected on social media, shop online, watch videos, search the web, and live independently. The most effective assistive technology solutions require specialized hardware like switches or sensors which are not readily available in most homes. Moreover, today's established products are too expensive to afford without any Medicaid subsidies, etc.

Jabberwocky is a hands-free web browsing app that is controlled using only head movement and speech. Being built entirely on a consumer platform (iOS), it requires no extra hardware, thereby dramatically lowering the barrier to entry into assistive technology and reducing costs without sacrificing the quality.
