About Dropped Kerb Check
Check if your council will allow a dropped kerb, with a 3D model of your drive
Most UK councils will only lower the kerb for a driveway if the front garden is deep and wide enough for a car and the access is safe, and the fee to apply is usually non-refundable. Dropped Kerb Check lets you test your own measurements first. You pick your council, enter the garden, pavement and junction distances, and say whether trees, street lights, bus stops or crossings are nearby. Each rule from that council's published policy and the national rules comes back as met or not met, a 3D model of the street shows the visibility splays and clearances, and the tool tells you whether planning permission is needed as well. It also estimates the cost from the published fees. It never asks for an address or postcode, and the check runs in your browser. The check is free. Pro is 19 USD once per property and produces the application pack: a scaled site plan, a frontage elevation, 3D views and a cover letter.
