Retrn: A Personal CRM for Relationship-Driven PeopleRemember everyone you meet, and know exactly when to reach back out. Retrn is a fully built personal CRM for students, job seekers, and founders whose opportunities depend on the people they know. It ships as a complete multi-platform product: a web app, a fully built-out iOS app, and a Chrome extension, all synced through one cloud backend. Whether you're at a networking event with your phone, at your desk in the web app, or browsing in Chrome, your contacts, notes, and follow-ups are always with you. Most people meet dozens of valuable contacts at career fairs, networking events, and pitch nights, then lose track of who they were, how they met, and when to follow up. Cold outreach has the same problem: emails go out, replies get buried, and promising leads go cold. Retrn solves both by making contact capture nearly instant, managing outreach from first email to first meeting, and turning a static address book into an active system that tells you who to contact next and where each relationship stands. The product is production-ready, deployed with cloud sync, and in active use by its creator. It is currently free to use and has a complete monetization model ready to switch on. Three Platforms, One System iOS App A fully built-out native mobile experience, designed for the moments that matter most: meeting someone in person. Capture a contact in seconds, scan a business card, dictate notes by voice, or share your profile by QR code, right from your phone at the event. Chrome Extension Retrn lives in the browser, so you can work with your contacts and outreach without switching tabs or breaking your workflow. Web App The full command center for managing relationships, running your recruiting pipeline, and planning outreach, with the dashboard, calendar, and complete contact history. Everything stays in sync across all three through Supabase cloud sync, so a contact captured on your phone shows up instantly on your laptop. Core Features Fast Contact Capture Sub-10-second capture. New contacts can be logged in under ten seconds, so they get saved in the moment instead of forgotten after the event. OCR capture. Scan a business card or name badge and Retrn pulls the details in automatically. Voice capture. Dictate notes about a person right after a conversation, while the details are still fresh. "How we met" field. Every contact records the context of the first meeting, which is often the most important detail when reaching back out months later. Relationship Management Contacts. A searchable, organized directory of everyone you've met, with full profiles and interaction history. Tags. Flexible custom tagging to group contacts by event, industry, interest, or any other category. College view. A dedicated section for organizing contacts by school, built for students and recruiting-season networking. Reconnect suggestions. Retrn surfaces people you haven't spoken to in a while so relationships don't go cold. Cold Email Outreach Write. Draft cold emails inside Retrn, starting from reusable templates and personalizing them with what you already know about the contact, like how you met and past interactions. Track. Every cold email is logged on the contact's timeline with its status, so you can see who you've reached out to, who hasn't replied, and when a follow-up is due. Convert. Move contacts forward once they respond, turning a cold email into a coffee chat, meeting, or pipeline opportunity without leaving the app. Recruiting Pipeline Pipeline board. A visual, stage-based board for tracking recruiting relationships (for example, from first contact through coffee chat, referral, and interview), giving job seekers a clear view of where every opportunity stands. Dashboard and Activity Dashboard. A home screen showing recent interactions, recently added contacts, and overdue follow-ups at a glance. Email sync. Connected email automatically feeds an interactions timeline, so conversations are logged without manual entry. Calendar. Schedule and view follow-ups, meetings, and reminders alongside contact data. Templates. Reusable message templates for cold outreach, follow-ups, and thank-you notes. Growth and Sharing "Share profile" QR code. Users can share their own profile via QR code at events, which doubles as a built-in user acquisition channel: every scan introduces a new person to Retrn. Settings and Accounts Settings. User preferences and account management. Authentication. Secure sign-up and login through Supabase Auth, with custom-branded email templates in a dark navy and purple design. Technical Stack Platforms: Web app, iOS app, and Chrome extension Web frontend: Vite, React, and TypeScript Backend and database: Supabase (Postgres, authentication, and cloud sync shared across all platforms) Architecture history: Originally built local-first using Dexie.js (IndexedDB), then migrated to Supabase for full cloud sync across devices.
