Miss your goal and you owe the cause you hate most
Your screen-time limit has an "ignore" button. That's why it doesn't work. Punish takes the button away. Put money on a goal and pick the organisation you'd least want to fund. Pro-gun? Pick Everytown. Anti-gun? Pick the NRA. Whoever makes you sick. It started as a dare to myself. Years ago I paid a friend $15 for every day I skipped studying Korean. This year I pledged $15 to an organisation I couldn't stand if I missed a deadline, and worked 12 hours straight that day. Your phone counts the screen time, so there's no lying to it. Gym, study and other task goals can be proved with a photo or your location. Miss the goal and the money is owed to them; you pay it yourself through every.org. Keep it and you pay nothing. Punish never holds your money and takes no cut, because an app that profits when you fail wants you to fail. Solo build: React Native + Expo, Kotlin for the measuring, a small Node backend. Android closed beta now, iPhone on the way, 17 languages.
