Mac dictation that writes for the app you're in
Hold a key and talk. Roundhand writes clean text shaped for the app in front of you: short in Slack, a proper email in Mail, a list in Notes, one line with exact casing in a terminal. Speech is recognised on your Mac with NVIDIA's Parakeet model. Your audio is never uploaded or saved to disk. The built-in cleanup, also on your Mac, drops fillers like "um", keeps what you meant when you say "scratch that", and fixes capitals and punctuation. Four styles (Terminal, IDE and AI chat, Chat, Prose) are picked from the app you are in, and you can change them per app. A Dictionary sets how words you say are written, such as a product name. 25 languages, detected automatically. It will not read or type into password fields. Optional cloud cleanup sends text, never audio, to an LLM for freer rewording, on a paid plan or with your own API key. Free to download, no account needed. Dictation and the offline cleanup stay free. For Apple silicon Macs on macOS 14 or later.
