Text Cleaner is a lightweight Chrome extension (Manifest V3) that fixes messy pasted text with a single click. Built for anyone who regularly copies text from Word, PDFs, emails, or websites and ends up with formatting issues. What it does: Straightens curly quotes and dashes Removes double spaces Strips invisible/zero-width characters Removes excess blank lines Trims whitespace at line edges Each option can be toggled independently. The extension auto-cleans as you paste, with a manual "Clean" button and one-click copy. Includes light and dark theme support. Fully client-side — no backend, no data collection, no dependencies. Clean, readable codebase (140 lines of JS) with a custom icon set included. Ready to list on the Chrome Web Store as-is, or rebrand and extend.

Next step: <p>Publish it to the Chrome Web Store under your own name/account. From there it could be extended with things like: custom cleaning rules, a keyboard shortcut, sync across devices, or bundling it into a suite of writing/productivity tools.</p>
