Lowbeam is a live, deployed privacy navigation web app. Enter a destination, compare route alternatives by documented ALPR (automated license plate reader) exposure, then start foreground turn-by-turn guidance with live rerouting. TypeScript/React mobile-first web application built with Vite and Tailwind. Includes a custom route-exposure scoring engine, normalized surveillance registry, route comparison logic, provenance-aware data model, Google Maps/Directions/geocoding integration, map fallback, and automated Vitest coverage. Current MVP does not require a persistent production database. Architecture is modular and designed to support additional documented surveillance data sources and routing providers.
