A free browser backing band for guitar and instrument practice
Mock Band is a free browser-based backing band for practicing an instrument without opening a DAW. It provides recorded acoustic drum sounds, bass and synthesized rhythm-guitar accompaniment, with no account or download required. Load editable galloping-metal, doom, death-metal and prog practice setups, switch sections at bar boundaries, and adjust tempo, key, meter, swing and fills. Use visible controls or text commands; optional voice and MIDI control depend on browser support. The original synth drums remain available when recordings cannot load. This is an independent, active side project, built with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Web Audio. It is free to use and private-source. It generates practice accompaniment, not original song recordings or note-for-note transcriptions. This listing is a showcase only: the project is not offered for sale and is not seeking a co-founder.
