Himalo is a finished native Android nutrition app with the features people pay Cal AI, MacroFactor and HealthifyMe for, running on a backend that costs $0/month. WHAT IT DOES • Snap your plate: AI photo logging identifies dishes and estimates portions and macros • Say or type it: "2 plates of momo and a coke" becomes logged foods • Himalo Coach: AI chat coach that knows today's food, the goal and the weight trend • Adaptive calorie goal: learns real maintenance calories from logged food and weigh-ins • Step-by-step calorie calculator: scroll wheels or typing, ft/cm and kg/lb, animated result • Food search, barcode lookup (Open Food Facts), custom foods, meal plans, meal timetable • Water tracking, reminders, streaks, achievements, analytics, light/dark themes • 3D UI: living calorie ring, cards that tilt with the phone, real-time 3D mountain • Built-in South Asian food database (dal bhat, momo...) plus AI lookup for anything else TECH • Kotlin + Jetpack Compose, 21,000 lines, 17 screens, MVVM • Firebase Auth + Firestore sync with per-user security rules, Room for offline-first storage • AI via a Cloudflare Worker proxy (Gemini free tier), so no API key ships in the app • Built-in updater: users get new versions through an in-app dialog • Robolectric screenshot tests for the main flows • Runs entirely on free tiers (Firebase Spark + Cloudflare Workers) = $0/month WHAT YOU GET • Full source code (GitHub repo transfer) • Firebase project, Cloudflare Worker and landing page (transfer or fresh setup) • Signed release build + signing key, so you can update existing installs • Himalo name, logo, icons and web assets • 1 hour of handover help (video call or chat) HONEST STATUS Pre-revenue asset sale with a small group of test users in Nepal. Premium is unlocked manually through an entitlement flag; no card payment provider is connected yet. User data is not included.
