Zappio — Vertical-Agnostic Cloud Engine for Interactive Display Experiences Zappio is a vertical-agnostic, cloud-based interactive display management engine designed to transform passive screens into channels for service delivery, communication, and revenue generation. Initially developed for the hospitality industry, Zappio provides the foundational infrastructure to power interactive display experiences across hotels, healthcare facilities, airports, and public venues—without requiring businesses to replace their existing display hardware or invest in expensive IPTV infrastructure. The Concept Zappio separates the underlying display infrastructure from industry-specific business logic. The core engine handles the technical complexity of managing interactive display environments, including: Edge-first, offline-capable runtime Version management and controlled deployments Remote device management and configuration Multi-tenant architecture Kiosk and display client support Cloud-to-edge synchronization The engine remains domain-agnostic. Industry-specific functionality is implemented through independent Vertical Packs. For example: Hospitality Pack: Guest services, room information, hotel facilities, check-in workflows, and service requests. Healthcare Pack: Patient queues, doctor schedules, facility information, and visitor guidance. Airport Pack: Flight information, passenger guidance, and terminal services. Public Facilities Pack: Interactive directories, announcements, and visitor services. This architecture enables a shared infrastructure platform while allowing vertical-specific experiences to evolve independently. Why It Matters Many businesses already have screens, TVs, or Android-based display hardware, but turning these devices into reliable, interactive service channels can require fragmented software, costly infrastructure, and custom integrations. Zappio aims to address this challenge through a reusable cloud-to-edge engine that supports existing hardware, offline resilience, centralized management, and extensibility across multiple industries.
