I’m a solo independent developer and I spent the last few months working on a personal side project: mybusinesscard.digital.I wanted to challenge myself to build a modern networking tool for professionals and freelancers that is completely free, carries zero ads, and has no platform watermarks or branding on your final card.To ensure maximum speed and performance, I chose to avoid heavy frameworks entirely. The entire stack is built from scratch using Pure PHP, Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and MySQL/MariaDB.Core Tech & Features: Under 0.8 MB per profile: Thanks to native image compression logic, each profile loads instantly even on weak networks. Dynamic PWA: It generates a Progressive Web App, so people can save your card straight to their smartphone home screen with one click. 12 Ready-Made Templates: Fully customizable with your own links, social profiles, branding colours, QR Code, and a vCard button to save data straight to the phone book. Privacy-First Guest Mode: Anyone can fully test the configurator without registering. A daily cronjob completely wipes guest data every 24 hours. Tip: While the final card is optimized for mobile, the desktop PC builder experience is highly recommended for setting up your profile smoothly.I would love to get your honest architectural feedback or UX thoughts!
