About ProposalKit
Proposal SaaS with immutable snapshots, version diffs and PDF approvals.
ProposalKit is a complete, transferable SaaS codebase for small web studios and digital agencies. It helps agencies create branded proposals, price services, generate real PDFs, share protected client links and record accept-or-request-changes decisions. Core proposal workflows work without AI. WHAT IS IMPLEMENTED • Accounts and isolated agency workspaces with owner/member roles and verified invitations. • Client records, notes, archiving and proposal history. • Five practical templates: landing page, corporate site, ecommerce, SEO and monthly support. • Responsive proposal editor with sections, ordering, autosave, service tables, discounts, optional tax and USD/EUR/GBP. • Exact integer-cent calculations to avoid floating-point pricing errors. • Immutable sent snapshots with random protected links, expiry and revocation. • Client decisions are timestamped and generate agency notifications. • Server-generated branded PDFs with logos and page numbers. • Stripe Checkout, Billing Portal and signed idempotent webhook implementation; live payments remain disabled until the buyer connects their own provider account. • Optional server-side AI drafting and improvement with human review before applying changes. SPECIALIZED VERSION CONTROL ProposalKit now includes structural proposal comparison. Any immutable sent snapshot can be compared with the current draft by stable record IDs. The comparison detects title and currency changes; added, removed, reordered or edited sections; service changes including quantity and unit price; discount, tax and total changes; client identity changes; and agency branding changes. This is data-level comparison rather than an HTML or visual diff. A reviewer can follow this workflow: create a proposal, send a fixed snapshot, edit the draft, compare versions, open the client link, accept or request changes, download the PDF, revoke or expire the link, and confirm that the original sent version remains unchanged. TECHNICAL FOUNDATION Next.js, TypeScript, React, Tailwind, PostgreSQL and Prisma. The codebase includes 10 API route modules, 9 page modules, 3 database migrations and 5 proposal templates. Security controls include tenant-scoped access, hashed share tokens, expiry/revocation checks, one-time client decisions and signed idempotent Stripe webhook handling. VERIFICATION Production build and TypeScript checks pass. The default automated suite reports 12 passing tests and 5 intentionally skipped provider-dependent checks. A real PostgreSQL integration test passes, focused money/version-diff tests pass, and 3 browser workflows pass at desktop, tablet and mobile sizes. PDF checks cover 1, 3 and 8 pages. Backup/restore verification preserves snapshots, decisions, token hashes and logos. CURRENT STATUS Functional MVP, pre-revenue. No paying customers, revenue or verified traffic. The public URL is a browser-only buyer interface demonstration with sample data; the complete application is supplied as source and has been verified locally. It is not presented as a publicly deployed production service. Stripe provider delivery, SMTP deliverability, optional live AI-provider checks and Linux VPS deployment require the buyer's own accounts and infrastructure. ASSETS INCLUDED Complete custom source code; PostgreSQL/Prisma schema and migrations; Better Auth configuration; dependency lockfile; automated tests; PDF renderer and licensed fonts; screenshots and sample PDFs; Docker Compose/Caddy setup; .env.example; technical evidence pack; README; integration, deployment and backup/recovery instructions; user guide; demo script; operating assumptions; and transfer checklist.
