sign is an e-signature service with two differences from the rest of the category. The first is on the signing page. Every other tool puts a yellow tag on page 5 and treats the signer as a target. sign opens with a summary in plain English: who the parties are, what each side agrees to do, the money, the dates, how it ends. Short sentences, no legalese, readable in about 30 seconds. The full document sits directly underneath, and the summary always says the document itself is what is being signed. The summary describes; it never advises, never calls a clause risky or unfair, and is never legal advice. Documents come back signed faster because the person signing understands them. The second is the price. DocuSign's Personal plan is $15 a month billed monthly for 5 envelopes, whether you send 5 or none (docusign.com, checked September 2026). sign sells signatures by the pack, once: 5 sends $9, 25 sends $29, 100 sends $79. Sends never expire. The first send is free, so a new sender sees a real document come back signed before paying anything. A send is one document to one signer, including the summary, reminders, storage, the signed copy by email, and a signing record with timestamps, email, IP address and document hash. The signer needs no account and never sees a price.
