A complete PWA that pairs hardware inventors with backers. Code, brand, domain
Bridged pairs one hardware inventor with one backer for the £3k-£15k it takes to pay for tooling and a first production run. Banks won't lend against a prototype and equity doesn't make sense at £8k, so the deal types are a loan, a revenue share with a return cap, or a gift with conditions. It's fully built and it has never been launched. There are no users and no revenue. I built it alongside a full-time job and decided not to run it, because an inventor uses a platform like this once. What's in it: Inventor and backer sides, each with its own dashboard, plus an admin side. A listing lifecycle with admin approval, a paid verification step (£50 through Stripe) and an 8-item manufacturing plan checklist the admin marks pass, fail or n/a. Matching (interest, inventor confirms, payment, then real-time messaging). Self-certification for high net worth and sophisticated investors, with a 12-month expiry, gating the loan and revenue share listings. Gift listings are open to any signed-in user. This was built around the UK financial promotion rules. It is code, and it is not FCA authorisation or legal advice. A buyer would need their own. Three deal templates and a mutual NDA as paid downloads, served through functions that check the purchase. 9 transactional email templates through Resend. Stack: Vite, React 19, TypeScript, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage), Stripe, Netlify Functions, Resend. Included: the private GitHub repo, the getbridged.club domain, the brand and the landing page copy. I'll do a handover call and help move the Firebase, Netlify and Stripe setup into your accounts. Not done: end-to-end testing with real £50 payments, and a 7-day expiry on matches left at pending payment. It would also suit anybody who wants a working two-sided marketplace with verification, paid unlocks and messaging as a starting point for something else. Reason for selling: built as an evening project alongside a full-time role, and I've decided to put the time into other things. The same engine would also work for other small, one-off funding needs. Examples are equipment for food and drink producers, tooling for makers and craftspeople, and first print runs for games and books.
Next step: <p><strong>Launch through a channel that already has inventors.</strong> Product design consultancies, university enterprise teams, hackspaces, accelerators and design award programmes all have people stuck at the tooling stage. One partnership would fill the first listings.</p><p><strong>Add a success fee on funded deals.</strong> The platform currently earns £50 fees along the way. A 2-3% fee on completed deals would make each match worth several hundred pounds.</p><p><strong>Give both sides a reason to come back.</strong> Add deal tracking, payment reminders and quarterly update tools for live deals, so backers return for a second deal and inventors for a second product.</p><p><strong>Build a backer list.</strong> Backers are the repeat side of the marketplace. A small, engaged list of engineers and product people is the asset that compounds.</p><p><strong>Point the engine at other niches.</strong> Equipment for food and drink producers, tooling for makers and first print runs for games are all options. The verification, certification, payment and messaging parts carry straight over.</p><p><strong>White label it.</strong> An accelerator or a manufacturer could use it to fund its own pipeline.</p>

Reason for selling
I built Bridged alongside a full-time job in product development. My own time outside work now goes into inventing and licensing physical products, which is what I know best and where I already have deals running. Bridged deserves an owner who can put proper time into launching it, and I'd rather see it used than sit on it.
