ValveMetrics — Steam Analytics - Sell Project

ValveMetrics is a software project for following new Steam releases and monitoring game performance over time. It combines a Windows desktop interface with a separate collector, read API, and PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB storage. It has no paying customers, no outside users, and no revenue.The implemented interface includes releases, upcoming games and demos, new playtests, observed Early Access graduations, per-game charts, watchlists, notifications, and accounts. Upcoming releases can be viewed across one-day, seven-day, and thirty-day horizons. The collection pipeline uses SteamKit2 PICS discovery and Steam endpoints to gather game metadata, concurrent-player counts, reviews, and followers. Historical release backfill adds known releases that were first discovered after launch; it does not recreate missing historical metric samples.The project distinguishes observed metrics from estimates. Revenue figures use a review-based estimation model, with coverage and signal-maturity labels explaining when there is too little history to support a comparison. New games do not receive a supposedly measured day-zero revenue change.Accounts, rotating authentication tokens, server-side watchlists, and personalized notification preferences are implemented. Live notifications use SignalR with REST catch-up. The shared Blazor interface runs in the Windows desktop shell and a browser development host. The repository includes a documented unit-test suite, database migrations, setup notes, a Windows collector-service installer, a stack launcher, and backup/restore scripts.The proposed sale includes the project source code, repository documentation, and deployment and maintenance scripts. Any collected game-metrics data is subject to marketplace acceptance, verified transfer rights and scope, and a sanitized export. Personal credentials, authentication secrets, and user accounts are excluded. Current database size and date coverage have not yet been verified for the sale.This is a development-stage asset. Billing, a public production deployment, and mobile clients have not shipped. Collection has experienced gaps, so uninterrupted historical coverage is not claimed. Steam endpoint rate limits affect collection, particularly follower data. Off-machine backup synchronization is implemented but remains unconfigured. Further launch preparation and operational verification are required.A buyer with .NET experience could use the existing collector, API, and interface as a foundation for further Steam analytics development.
