Arazio is a menu-bar utility that converts files without opening an app. Pick a file up in Finder, hold Shift, and a radial menu appears around your cursor showing only the formats that file can actually become — a PNG offers image formats, an MOV offers video. Release toward one and the converted file lands in the same folder, next to the original. Hold Option instead for tools: compress, resize, crop, rotate, trim, split, merge, extract audio, strip metadata. 283 conversions, 43 formats, 14 tools. Everything runs on your machine. The conversion engines contain no networking code at all, and a test fails the build if a networking symbol appears in them. Nothing is uploaded, originals are never modified or moved, and an existing file is never overwritten. Apple silicon, macOS 13+, under 9 MB, notarized. $14.99 once — no subscription, no trial. Not on the Mac App Store: the sandbox won't let an app write to the folder your file came from, and that is the entire product.
