About ikea-clone-marketplace
Multi-vendor furniture marketplace with storefront, vendor studio and admin
Nordly Home Market — One marketplace for every home journey Nordly Home Market is a professionally developed, IKEA-inspired multi-vendor furniture marketplace application foundation. It unifies a polished customer storefront, seller operations studio and marketplace admin console within one coherent, responsive product. The project is an original portfolio demonstration and is not affiliated with IKEA or Mercur. All products, sellers, reviews, customers, applications, orders, inventory movements, commissions, checkout events and dashboards are fictional or synthetic. No real account, payment, order, seller onboarding, fulfilment, payout or customer message is created. Features • Scandinavian-inspired customer storefront with 16 original products and four room collections • Search, filters, sorting, product detail pages and seller-offer comparisons • Wishlist and grouped multi-vendor cart stored locally in the browser • Local-only checkout demonstration and non-transactional confirmation flow • Four fictional seller storefronts with 20 seeded offers • Vendor studio covering products, inventory, orders, analytics and store profile • Admin console for vendor applications, catalogue moderation, orders, commissions and readiness settings • Two read-only Vercel APIs, PWA manifest, service worker and offline shell • Responsive interface, light/dark/system themes, local original artwork and strict product-boundary disclosures • Automated lint, domain tests, deterministic builds, output verification and HTTP smoke testing Target customers Commerce entrepreneurs, furniture and home-goods brands, marketplace founders, agencies building retail experiences, multi-vendor SaaS teams, regional retailer networks and product studios that need a credible storefront plus seller and operator workflows. Monetization opportunities Marketplace commissions, seller subscriptions, premium storefront tools, promoted listings, lead-generation fees, fulfilment or installation partnerships, retailer SaaS licensing, white-label deployments and optional consumer membership benefits. These opportunities are prospective; no revenue channel is currently implemented or verified. Current development stage A polished, multi-surface portfolio demonstration and production-oriented foundation. The customer, vendor and operator journeys are implemented with synthetic data and browser-local mutations. It is not a revenue-generating business and has no verified customers, traffic, sales, GMV or commercial contracts. Current operating costs The current demonstration can run on an available Vercel hosting tier with no required database, authentication, email, object storage, AI or payment provider. Costs may therefore be $0 at low demo traffic, excluding any separately owned domain. A commercial marketplace will incur hosting, database, cache, storage, authentication, email, payment/payout, observability and support costs based on usage and chosen vendors. What the buyer receives The private GitHub repository and source code; original marketplace catalogue and artwork; customer storefront, vendor studio and admin console; visual design system and logo; PWA/offline assets; two read-only Vercel Functions; automated verification scripts; tests; deployment, security, audit and architecture documentation; and the existing live demonstration. Final transfer remains subject to ownership, licensing, platform-account and domain arrangements agreed during diligence. Production work still required A real marketplace requires authenticated customer, seller and operator principals; role-based authorization; PostgreSQL persistence; Redis or equivalent caching/queues; durable object storage; production email and messaging; real checkout, payment capture, seller payouts, refunds and tax handling; inventory reservation; order and fulfilment services; seller onboarding and KYC/KYB; moderation; search infrastructure; analytics and observability; fraud controls; privacy operations; incident response; rate limiting; backups; accessibility and security review; and production QA. No AI integration is currently required or implemented; any future AI feature should be scoped, disclosed and reviewed separately. Third-party commerce infrastructure, including any Mercur-style backend, remains to be selected, deployed and integrated. Reason for selling The seller is focusing on other projects and wants a buyer to take this broad, carefully designed marketplace foundation through backend integration, market validation and commercialization. Handover and support Includes a repository and deployment walkthrough, architecture and environment guidance, assistance transferring agreed code and assets, and up to 14 days of reasonable email support for setup and clarification after closing. New feature development, third-party charges, custom data migration and ongoing maintenance are excluded unless separately agreed.
