About Ownware — 49 self-hosted business apps + AI
49 self-hosted apps + AI agent, store — two sales landed, logs attached
Revenue-positive since 30 Aug 2026 — two sales to date, $207.35 gross: an organic store sale fully attributed in server logs, and a Codester marketplace sale on 5 Sep 2026 — and built to be transferred: 49 finished self-hosted business apps (invoicing, booking, POS, inventory, HR, compliance registers and more — plain PHP + MySQL/SQLite, runs on ordinary shared hosting), each with a web installer, its own test suite, docs, REST API + webhooks, 2FA, backups, dark mode and an MCP endpoint (AI-agent ready). Plus Own Your AI, a sovereign local-AI assistant (Node.js, 864-test suite with 852 passing, sellable standalone) — 50 products in all — and 11 suites that bundle the apps by workflow. Across the whole estate: 17,023 passing automated tests over 52 machine-checked suites, every one exposing an MCP door. Included in the sale: — The store itself (ownware.io, the Deliora platform): licensing, download delivery, buyer portal with magic-link sign-in, webhook fulfilment from Lemon Squeezy, admin dashboard, 3,112-test suite, and a deploy gate that refuses to ship if any sellable product lacks its file (111 licence editions, delivery verified 30 Aug 2026). — 51 live app instances (every product's demo + the store) on one 4 GB VPS — Docker fleet and Caddy config included. — Content moat: 98+ guides, 144 "alternative to <SaaS>" pages, 48 comparison pages, 11 suite pages, a cited SaaS price dataset (143 vendors, 146 figures; JSON/CSV, CC BY 4.0), /llms.txt and structured data on every product, suite and comparison page. — Presence: Codester (Codester (first marketplace sale 5 Sep 2026; more items in review), AlternativeTo, SaaSHub, SourceForge, StartupInspire (featured), Uneed, make.rs; more listings pending review. — Affiliate programme live: 35% commission, 90-day tracking, paid out via Lemon Squeezy. — Transactional email via Resend, support mail via Zoho; SPF/DKIM aligned, DMARC p=reject. Also true and worth one sentence to a buyer: nothing here depends on a platform that can change its policy overnight — self-hosted product, own store, own domain, own mail, payments through a merchant of record that can be swapped. Honest state: revenue-positive as of 30 August 2026 — two sales, $207.35 gross, through two independent channels. The first was fully organic and fully attributed in the server logs (search engine → comparison page → live demo → purchase), with the buyer's own AI agent vetting the site before he bought. The second came through Codester on 5 September 2026. No ads, no launch event and no outreach at scale have been run yet. Buyer receives: full source code, the domain, store transfer, VPS handover or migration docs, all assets and brand files, 30 days of email handover support.

Next step: <p>The first sale shows the path that works — a comparison page for a SaaS tool people are leaving, an AI-readable store, a live demo, a clear price — and it has barely been industrialised. Concretely: (1) expand the "alternatives" pages into the verticals that already converted (field service, retail POS, gym, booking); (2) run the launch calendar — a Product Hunt maker account exists, a YouTube kit with finished screencasts is built, directory listings are compounding; (3) recruit affiliates for the live 35% programme; (4) switch on the hosted/Cloud tier (the multi-tenant control plane is built) as recurring revenue; (5) the "your business software, operable by AI agents" angle is early — every app already ships an MCP endpoint and the store is read by AI systems ~8× more than by people; (6) unbundle</p><p>— each app can be sold on its own storefront or marketplace; (7) reprice winners once sales data accrues.</p>
