About Alias Browser
Anti-detect browser: Rust/Tauri desktop app with 18 paying subscribers
Alias Browser is a desktop anti-detect browser for running unlimited isolated online identities — each profile with its own fingerprint, cookies, extensions, proxy and VPN. It is a real native application, not a Chrome-profile wrapper: Rust + Tauri desktop core (2.29 MB of Rust, 1.49 MB of TypeScript), a Next.js marketing/app frontend, and alias-sync, a NestJS cloud-sync server that customers can also self-host. Built continuously since May 2025 — 1,551 commits, 16 contributors, last commit July 2026. Current build v0.26.11 is distributed direct from aliasbrowser.com/downloads for every desktop target: universal macOS DMG, Windows setup .exe and portable ZIP, Linux amd64/arm64 .deb and .rpm (the CI/Tauri pipeline also produces AppImage). Includes a local REST API and an MCP server so AI agents (Claude, Cursor) can drive the browser — a differentiator none of the incumbents ship. Implemented: per-profile fingerprint/cookie/extension/data isolation, anti-detect Chromium engine, HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 proxies, WireGuard VPN profiles, DNS-level ad blocking, profile groups, imports from Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Brave, default-browser profile routing, cloud sync with optional end-to-end encryption, zero telemetry. Monetisation (verified in the payment processor today): 18 active paid subscriptions — 14 annual Pro at $34/yr and 4 monthly Pro at $4/mo — on Dodo Payments, at deliberately low "first 500 licences locked forever" launch pricing. Public list price is $9/mo Pro and $12/seat Team. Google Analytics and Airalytics are both installed, so a buyer gets real traffic history from day one. What transfers: full source (main app, sync server, website), the aliasbrowser.com domain (registered at Cloudflare, expires June 2027), the Dodo Payments product catalogue and active subscriber base, the MCP server repo, and 9 supporting SEO content repos that rank for anti-detect/multi-account/fingerprinting terms. Honest disclosures: MRR is small ($55/mo) because launch pricing is 55% below list and the first cohort is annual. Monthly-plan payment failure rate is high (12 failed/on-hold monthly subs vs 4 active) — worth a buyer investigating card-decline handling. The product is licensed proprietary; third-party components (Chromium BSD-3, Camoufox/Firefox MPL-2.0, WireGuard tooling GPL-2.0, Tauri/Next/React MIT-Apache) are documented in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md. Buyers should confirm anti-detect tooling is permitted by their own market/payment providers. 895 users / 1,226 sessions in the last 90 days (GA4), 279 from organic search, 111 returning, top markets US and India, screenshots available. TTM gross revenue ≈ $282 (all-in across the processor; Alias Browser is the overwhelming majority). TTM net profit: state as ≈ $0–150 after infrastructure. Active customers: 18 paying, 22 including failed/on-hold. Age: since May 2025. Hours/week: use the standard-terms wording above. Asset sale only. No legal entity, employees, contracts or liabilities transfer. What transfers: source code, domain, deployment configuration, product/pricing configuration in the payment processor, and the customer/licence database where one exists. 30 days of email support included post-close, to hand over deployment and answer buyer questions. Hours per week: answer "not formally tracked — built and maintained part-time across a portfolio of products over roughly 12 months; the product is not staffed and runs unattended between releases." Buyers accept this; an invented number is worse than none. Seller-provided proof available on request: source access, live product walkthrough, payment-processor subscription screen (Alias Browser), licence-admin dashboard (SnapLeads). No bank records.
